You guys will likely think this is silly.
I have a goldfish pond in the yard that was a happy hunting ground for a GBH. I found a plastic alligator about 3 feet long that looks real. Since placing my "scarecrow", I haven't lost another fish. For a large pond you'ld need a truckload, though.
What about some kind of automated "robo gator"?
