Thank you so much, AaronM!!
AaronM is hereby assigned to seat 3.
Seat 2 is still Shawn Roberts. Shawn, you and your son are both welcome at Bob's place on Saturday for your single seat. I just checked with him, and of course he said yes. Kids are key!

You're welcome Chris. Get plenty of schoolin' while you are with Lusk. I may need to pick your brain at a later date. P.S. to Dave...... I would like to change my bid from $75 to $112.35 for Chris's Seat 4 ...... making our bid a total of $212.35. I couldn't figure out what n8ly was doing with his bid and wanted to even out the total before my head exploded.

BarO, Just started out with my maximum budget and hoped it would ride the entire way. Also always enter oddball numbers like that when bidding on Ebay.

OCD or simply rational thought?
When does the auction end? I can't stand for numbers that don't end in 0's - so I will top off these bids if there's still time. I was thinking seat 1, 3, and 4 need some work to relieve themselves of those nasty integers, and also, in further helping to achieve the Auction's goal of generating more funds for research.
Why am I a ZERO? The natural number following 0 is 1 and no natural number precedes 0. The number 0 may or may not be considered a natural number, but it is a whole number and hence a rational number and a real number (as well as an algebraic number and a complex number).
The number 0 is neither positive nor negative, neither a prime number nor a composite number, nor is it a unit. It is, however, even (see evenness of zero).
Describes me to a Teeh.

I hereby declare this auction to be closed! Here are the winners, both evens and odds. Thanks to all of you for your gracious donations!
Seat 1: $262.65, n8ly Seat 2: $125, Shawn Roberts and son Seat 3: $300, AaronM Seat 4: $212.35, Chris Steelman $100; plus the gracious offer of an additional $112.35 from Bar0.
My thanks also go to our Grand Pondmeister, Mr. Bob Lusk. Many thanks to Bob and Debbie for hosting our guests. I know that all will have a great time -- there are no better hosts than these folks.
Finally, a reminder that these funds all go into an endowment that Eric West started in honor of his father, Jesse West. The proceeds (interest) from the endowment will perpetually provide applied fisheries research opportunities. For those of you who attend the Annual Conference and Expo in July, you'll see the first-year results of that endowment when Melissa Wuellner speaks about potential competition between walleye and smallmouth bass. The second year's funds went to a study of a new technique for monitoring food habits of fish by clipping and analyzing their fins. More on that in the future, so stay tuned.

OK guys - thanks and have fun. Please take some pics and start a thread on this when you get home. Dave put me down for $50 to cover Shawn Jr's. food and worms. Nate , Shawn , Aaron and Chris and especially you Bruce (in order to keep your status here) I expect a report that shows Shawn's boy with the biggest fish !!! No excuses - you guys are good enough fishermen to put him on the best fish.

Well, I still can't stand it. Add $75 to Shawn and Son to help ease my pain. Can you still accept a bump in the bidding?

TJ, I have read your post about the numbers and zeros about 4 times now, and still dont grasp the concept. No light bulb has gone on yet, but anyhow......
I am so pumped up about the conference and then fishing at LL2! Dont worry, Shawn JR will catch the biggest fish and we will post his pics!

Yeah, I'm not sure either...as everything in right now equals $900, which is full of zeroes, and I like that. With this revelation in mind, I will simply add $100 to Shawn and Son to bring it to an even $1000.00 if I'm allowed. For some reason I'm all full of the Xmas spirit today.
Have fun Nate - if you haven't met Condello please give him a hard time and do your best to outfish him for me - I know I certainly have been unable to achieve that thus far.

Just read Ewest's post - my head is spinning - now we're at $950 with his $50 bait donation - so add me in for $50 to make an even $1000.00 and I promise to never again raise the issues of Zeroes again.
Permanently out on this subject.

TJ -- you're certainly allowed to ADD money. That $1,000 will indeed be a nice, round addition to the endowment! Thanks again.

Dave, I can't stand even numbers. Put me down for a $100 to make it $1100.

Heybud/Dave
That's the spirit Heybud - glad to hear you have the same nagging issues with numbers too. I'm in for $50 plus the website....unless someone take this to $1900, then I'll pony the last 100 to make it a very zero-ific $2000.00. Gotta love those beautiful round digits.

Dave, where do I send my contribution to the Jesse West Endowment Fund? It still appears that I will be vacationing back East during the conference this year. Thanks Robert

Thanks for asking! The "instructions" were buried back at the first post for this thread. I pasted that info below. __________
At the end of the bidding, the four winners will be asked to send checks to Dave Willis, Box 2140B, South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD 57007. Please make checks payable to SDSU Foundation and in the memo line of the check, please write Jesse West Research Endowment.

Well, geez, since I was ready to spend $125 per seat I guess I might as well double my single seat. My total contribution will be $256.37, just to help spur on Heybud's odd-ball rumble!

And by the way, Shawn Jr. (aka Cole) will be bringing out the big guns, Grandma and Grandpa bought him one of those Bobber Launching fishing poles. For a kid rig, it actually doesn't do too bad.

Thanks, Shawn. You could tell by the posts that everyone wanted Jr. to have the chance to stop by Lusk Lodge II. You'll love the bluegill pond. Plus, you should take him to the channel cat pond, too, and let him tie into one of the big 'uns!
