I'm wanting to install an aeration system in a shallow pond (2-3 feet deep). The nearest electrical hook-up is 1200'. The system's sole purpose is to act as a de-icer for waterfowl during the winter months.
I'd like to have 2 pairs of diffusers (4 total) that can be operated simultaneously or individually in the duck pond. I'm wanting to maximize the "de-icing" effect by really making the water boil.
1. What size air pump would give the best results?
2. What diameter tubing is recommended?
3. Will this system keep a 30'-50' patch of water open during freezing cold temps?
