I have a bunch of bluegill in my pond that have faint stripes on them, like a crappie. I thought they were CNBG but now im not sure. they have a black dot on there gill to.

They probably aren't CNBG unless you stocked them. I see a lot of native BG that have stripes, are they verticle, 3 or 4 bands? The trick is to identify if they are a hybrid mix, look for the neon blue/green veins running from their mouth back toward the gills.

Those look mostly like regular BG. A few seem to have a few CNBG traits but hard to tell for sure.

I'd have to agree with ewest. All I see are bluegill, with maybe one or two with some coppernose look to them.

JHFV, what was the conditon of the water? Clear, off-color, muddy? Cloudy day - clear? Those critters can change color quickly and bar patterns as well. Take a higher resolution close-up photo if you can and describe the light and water conditions.
