It aint fair...IT AINT FAIR...I was all set to come to lunch,then my wife wanted to go look at furniture Sunday,so to passify her I went.Sunday.All afternoon.What a waste.We(she) found what we wanted and decided to come back later with a trailor and pick the stuff up.Leaves me free for lunch on Monday,so all is not lost. Monday AM.Filled up with diesel on the way home yesterday,got my map to DFW,ready to head out for lunch.Guess what I hear on the way out the door??? Uh,Tom,we need to take the recliners over to the son-in-laws before you get started on anything today.I race around,get em loaded and delivered,back by about 10:00.I can still make it with a lead foot!.....Oh dear,before you go we have to take the couch&phootons over to the daughter-in laws.Afternoon shot,no lunch,and now I have no furniture in the livingroom.So its back to Waco this weekend to get the furniture I thought I got out of buying last weekend.Sorry I missed you guys for lunch. BTW,the really cold shot came when I was told the furniture comes out of my pond fund

Jeez guys you really need to get control of your spouses.
When I married JWHAP (jeff's wife has a pond) I told her in no uncertain terms. Looky here I said, one thing you gotta get straight. I'm Captain of this ship. And the Capains word is law on the high seas. So when it comes time to make decisions just keep that in mind.
JWHAP completely agreed, she said "Yep JHAP you are Capitain of the ship and on the ship your word is law. Course I'm Admiral of the Navy and I'll decide whether you sail the high seas or sit in mothball."
At least we've got that all worked out.
Actually I joke about it but my wife is great. Ask her about some of the goofy adventures I've dragged her through over the past decade and you'll see that she probably should be considered for sainthood.

OK OK But we'll see who gets the last laugh(sob) in this game.Since the furniture is gone I called the carpet guy and asked him to come out and restretch the carpet :)Then I told my wife how much nicer it would look,just like new again.She was very pleased at my thoughtfulness  Then I told her NOTHING could be in the 28x28 ft rooms when they stretched it so EVERYTHING had to be carried onto the front and back porches.....And left for work.She's at home moving all that dang stuff as we speak

Jeff,my doghouse ia a 28' Dutchman camper.Let er toss me out. Rocky,I still got enough fuel money to pull the camper that far if she does AND Im well aware Lake Whitney and Aquilla are right around the corner OTOH if she reads this thread I might be camped out in the well house
