Dave Willis: could you clarify some things for us?
It is my impression that in a large, northern sandpit such as TyW33 has, it is likely that SMB will reproduce, even in the presence of LMB. What is your opinion?
In southern lakes, it is common to stock 80% BG and 20% redear sunfish. Might this idea be used by TyW33? I'm thinking of something like 60% LMB, 20% SMB and 20% Walleye. There is a good chance that a stocking like this wouldn't cost much more than just stocking LMB. Is this reasonable?
In a 2-3 years when these fish mature and reproduce, they will form a reasonably stable population of each species. What is your opinion?
Since LMB, SMB and walleye all hunt in slightly different ways, the combination of all three predators will likely control bluegill numbers better than just LMB would. Again, what is your opinion?
