Went out after work this evening and caught this beauty on a yellow 4 inch texas rigged swimbait. Put up a great fight. Measured 24 inches.

Just edited and added length. It was 24 inches. Didn't have a scale handy and wanted to get it right back in the water, so no weight. Yea, I went out to the pond directly from work. I just had an itch to get out there today. The itch was scratched well. hehe

It was a blast!

I think it was probably a little below 7, but I can't be sure. It just didn't have that "girth" that I normally see in a 24 inch bass.

Regardless, it was a real treat for sure!

Hey Weissguy,

You're going to need to grow your arms longer or take a friend for the next biggest fish pic. \:\)

I had to hold it BACK instead of forward as I had to use my long arm to hold the cell phone to take the pic, and I couldn't get the whole thing in the frame for the life of me. hehe...

You need to cheat like Bruce. He shoves those fish right into the camera to make them look better. He's never grown any bluegills over 6 inches! \:D \:D \:D

Oh,oh. Now I let out the secret!

Seriously that fish looks like it was between six and seven pounds. Not a bad fish anywhere.

Edit: I meant 4 inches. Sorry.

BTW for those of you that don't know I am only kidding about Bruce. He grows some monster bluegills and he's a great guy.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Thanks Cecil. Much better than the "big" one I caught last Thursday when I took the day off to take my nephew fishing.

(I need to regrow the facial hair... I look much prettier) \:\)

Actually, if you're taking your own picture on a cellphone you get the opposite of the desired effect.

The work shirt is the funniest thing I've seen in a while.

Well at least you had a camera, that's a great photo!
