Holding a redear sunfish is like running with scissors.

Depressing! You guys are fishing and I am staring at ice covered lakes. Nice Bass, bigger than any I ever caught in this area. I need to move south!
Dreaming of the pond!

Went fishing with the swimbait again today and caught one 4 pounds and lost another one as big as the one I caught yesterday. This is a awesome bait! All my freinds didn'think a fish would bite anything that big.

jsand13, was that at your pond? Awesome. Brian, you are right. I'm happy just to pull a five pounder out of my pond.

Yeah I caught those fish in my 2 acre pond in front of my house. I had never thrown a swimbait until the other day. I think its going to become one of my go to big fish baits for sure.

A few years back I bought some large trout swimbaits. I never have tried them though. I'm all over it now!

I used a small shad type swimbait today in the Indian River near Daytona and could a few flounder. Something else hit it but I couldn't tell what it was, maybe a Redfish?
I think the action is great and you can cast them a mile.

No Dave, flounder live on the bottom but prey on small fish. It was a very low tide when I caught them and I could see them shoot off the bottom to hit the bait. I got two, and they both missed the first time and then got it when I slowed down a little. They have a nice set of teeth that made it undesirable to hold them by the lip.
