JHFV, I offer my apology for contributing to your bad day.

Remember it's better to be threadjacked than ignored. Just ask Barnes.

If you don't have a pressing need or use for electricity at the pond, it is much cheaper (plastic vs. copper, and less depth for safe burial) for send air to the pond instead.

JHFV, I have some pictures of my DIY aeration system that i have posted before, but can't find them in archives, so I'll repost them on Aeration topic.
I'll edit a link when completed.

1. Definitely would not go with the pond survey.
2. Would feed the fish by hand every time I would go to the pond. (put up a barrel with a good lid and a hand scoop) Then would put fish feeder on my list for future Birthday/Christmas/Anniversary present.

3.Would go with the aerator. If you get a windmill, I would go with Outdoor Water Solutions first, Koenders next, and any other brand I would not use, they are junk. What is awesome about the OWS windmill is that it produces 3 CFM, twice as much as Koenders, is still rated at 30 psi, same as koenders, and you can run your aerator and a waterpump at the same time. You can only pump about 2 gallons per minute, but that is still pretty cool!

If you go with an electric aerator, Vertex and Aeration Technologies are the best systems you can buy. But for a 1 acre pond you could also use an Easy Pro EPW10. It retails for about $300, doesnt cost much money to run, is weatherproof, and very quiet. The drawback would be that you could only put it about 14' deep to produce enough CFM.
