Have a new 2 acre pond. What are best forage fish to stock now for HS? What is a good quantity of HS to stock? Feeders will be used. What is best time to stock HS? Where can you purchase HS? The pond is located close to Desdemona Tx.

HSB is an open water fish so shad and heavy feeder use is your best bet. Contact Silver Streak P.O. Box 99-Danevang, Tx 77432; 979-543-4941. I met them at a seminar 1.5 years ago. They advertise that they sell farm raised Hybrid Striped Bass. I expect they can answer most of your questions. They told me that they specialize in wholesaleing to Asian food markets but were there looking for local dealers for pond stocking.

Tentmaker, you know where Proctor is? It shouldn't be to far from you. Arm's Bait sells hybrid stripers in the fall. They are $2.00 a piece. Harroll (sp) Arms is very knowledgable and seems to like to talk about fish. He will answer your immediate questions. 254-879-2797.
