How big or old do LMB have to be to start spawning? The pond i have been stocking is doing great, and all fish are healthy! But i notice that some are way fatter than others.I am still putting BG and the HBG in the pond and found several places where i have caught 1 pound slabs to go in so i can have a good spawn.Thanx for all your great input fellas.Any of you guys that help me out are free to fish the pond if or when you come to myrtle beach

LMB first spawn at 12"-13" long and 2-3 years.

Thanx for the help, again.I guess the younger the LMB the fewer eggs they lay?

Oh yeah my friends dad took me shad fishing cause they were running.Man that was a blast the shad were from 2 pounds to 6 pounds. The limit was 20, i caught that in 25 minutes and sold them to someone that was catfishing that night. So i could keep catching those shad.Crazy fun on the river about middle of the state.

But of course i would rather be LMB or BG fishing any day.But i was useing a 12 foot crappy pole and put 2 jigs.let me tell you when you got doubles on with that pole, tons of fun.Later on everyone and i got alot of pictures i need to put up on the update on my pond thread.
