Hey all.

Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for the great resource!

Came upon Pond Boss through Bruce who is one of Nebraska's top anglers... that or he is just really good in PhotoShop. I think its the latter.

Just kidding, Bruce!

I recently started managing a pond in Nebraska with water clarity issues and a stunted population of Bluegills, so you might see me on here from time to time seeking advice.

Thanks again!

-Chad

Welcome Chad.

Did Bruce tell you what we do to new guys? Not many survive, so good luck.

Chad welcome to the PB forum. There is more info here (threads and people) than one can imagine. I would say we have more BG knowledge and ideas than anywhere. Plus good quality folks abound here.

For those of you who have failed to embrace our new second (or maybe first) language, Brettski is saying "welcome" to Nebraska Chad.

I must only use the raindance in moments of drought.

I guess I might as well reveal that I'm half Porturalian. My mother is a Porturalian war bride who fell in love with my Dad after he gave her a can of Spam in WWII. That's what they told us kids, anyway.

Since I speak a modicum of Porturalian, I have taken the liberty of translating the Porturalian national anthem. I must warn you that it was written by their Chamber of Commerce.

There's a place in the Sun, on one side of the world or the other
Where someone you know's from; it might be your Father or Mother.
We've got Cork Oaks galore, and maybe some bagels and loxes.
We're the world's largest exporter of yellow wine in cardboard boxes.

[chorus]
All hail Porturalia,
A country we didn't make up.

When our fishing boats sail, they bring back sardines and anchovies.
We're the number one source for organic marsupial baloney.
We don't run with the bulls; our national sport's juggling ferrets
And we're close to the place where they have those carnivorous parrots.

[chorus]
All hail Porturalia,
A country we didn't make up.

"Live like you'll die tomorrow, but manage your grass like you'll live forever."

I'm hearing this as more of a canon or a dirge...well, maybe more like a Gregorian chant.

THIEF! THIEF!
Theo is trying to pull a slow one on the forum. He has stolen and loosely translated the theme song from a famous Porturalian sit-com, Eu bebo a cerveja com carneiros.
 Quote:
Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you've got;
Taking a break from all your worries
Sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?

All those night when you've got no lights,
The check is in the mail;
And your little angel
Hung the cat up by it's tail;
And your third fiance didn't show;

Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to be where you can see,
Our troubles are all the same;
You want to be where everybody knows your name.
