I usually look for the 50 degree mark, but it you may want to wait for 55-60 to be sure. I agree with Cecil, as temps come up there will be more competition and your algae will find it harder to thrive. Check your water inputs to the pond and reduce/remove as many nutrient sources as you can. If you are going to treat, I prefer chelated copper for most FA strains.
