That sounds like either a left-handed compliment or a right-handed insult.

My impression of weissguy's statement is that our use and appreciation of GSF leaves a lot of room for improvement. If that's what he meant I agree.

Oh by the way I need to speak with you about the formation of the Warmouth Militia - I believe that much like it's closely related cousin the GSF, it's only a matter of time until the Warmouth becomes a target for opression and heracy. I feel the time is right to create a defense organization for the mighty Warmouth.

No matter what guys, just be concerned about funding. We're hurting bad over here at B.I.S.A.
Granted, we really have no expenses, but that's not what we tell people.

Being innocent and naive I had to do a google search on the WTF acronym. I found that it had several meanings. I can only assume Rmedgar that you are referring to "Worse Than Failure."
GW, if you choose to use that name you can already purchase T-Shirts with your acronym on it, so you have that going for ya.

here's something to shoot for: CA Inland Water Angling Record: Green sunfish - 1 lb 12 oz, Farm pond near Bella Vista, Shasta County, 6/3/1978 this one was just a hair under 1.25 lbs (per boga) this coming spring's fishing should be interesting in el dorado. Just following up to see if this fish may have been caught again and how much it has grown. Any updates?

It would be interesting to see who can provide proof of the largest GSF. I present the challenge. NO photo shoppers allowed.

NO photo shoppers allowed. Well, I guess we won't be hearing from JHAP any longer on this thread!

Well, I guess we won't be hearing from JHAP any longer on this thread! DOH!!! Bill if you are talking about GSF raised by a member here on Pond Boss then I think DIED's GSF is the largest I've even seen raised by a member here. The world record for GSF is 2 pounds 2 ounces or 2.1 pounds (depending upon which site you look at) but I have yet to find a photo of that fish.

I would love to see that as well. I do remember back a few years when I was about 12 my father caught one about 1.25 pounds, I sure wish we would have had a camera back then but my parants have never been to found of them.
I think one at a half pound is pretty good, but hope to get one over a pound now that I am feeding and reducing there numbers.
