In the "Crappie as the top predator" thread, there as a suggestion to add a few MALE large mouth bass to keep the crappie down if you are not planning on fishing yourself into Nirvana.

Interesting. I can catch all the Large Mouth Bass I can carry in some old non-maintained pools around here. Assuming that I am going to put off Nirvana, how would I tell a male vs. female Large Mouth Bass on the hook?
