I am still in the process of getting my pond dug, but was wondering if anybody had any suggestions for stocking a 1 1/2 pond here in Texas. I want a well rounded pond with difference species to choose from. Somedays you feel like catfishing, some days bass fishing, some days pan fishing... Does anybody have a ratio or system that they have found that works?

The RECOMMENDED ratios are 1,000 bluegill/Redears per acre at a 80/20% ratio. Maybe 100 4 to 6 inch catfish. After abiut one year stock bass. I like to do 50 lmb per acre. Others might disagree with that.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
