Sunil is corrrect. One can usually find some hatchery in the US that has fingerlings. Overnight shippment of boxes of fish usually doubles the cost. Many pondowners are on a slim budget and cannot justify the final cost of $5-$10 per fingerling especially if several hundred fingerling are desired. Yikes $$. Since SMB fingerlings are usually scarce, that is why some preplanning and preordering from the closest convenient driving distance (2-4hrs) source is beneficial.
Hickling's Fish Farm (www.hicklingsfishfarm.com) in NY usually has some size of SMB most of the year.
