Pond Boss Forums INTRO Questions & Observations YOY bream

Well heres the story. I put some catfish in my 4x4x4 cage. Well I had been feeding them for about 1mon and had not seen them. And I remember what Pond Boss said minimize stress so I had not messed with them. Well yesterday I could not stand it anymore and pulled the cage and the catfish had apparently escaped. But to my suprise the were 15-20 yoy bream. Some where very small looked like maybe just a few weeks old. I have not seen any sign of the bream spawning so I was very suprised and happy. Some of them are now guest in my new 55gal aquarium. So far I have two red breast beam and one HSB that are all doing well.

Little bream have an amazing propensity for getting stuck inside almost anything. In the Summer I can kick the fish keep off the dock into the water, then come back an hour later and have 3-4 YOY BG in it. They're so small if you lift it out of the water they fall through the mesh, but they can't figure out how to swim out on their own.
