Bremer Since glass is pretty much inert, it seems to me to be a great material for creating a reef-like environment. Has anyone else on the Forum done something like this?
I like your bottle idea. I think they're unlikely to break, and even more unlikely to foul your fishing line.
I do something similar with 2-3 ft long pieces of black 1" PVC pipe. I jam 1 end into some sticky clay, and pull it out leaving a clay plug for ballast. The the pipes then sink, and stand upright like black bamboo on the bottom. I have about 30 of them in 1 area, and call it "the stickups". I fancy the stickups will harbor bass when they get some size on them. If it works, I will buy a huge roll of PVC pipe and make more stickups.
