One other comment-Greg is right, our company would go broke doing the FDA studies to get a growth promotent approved for fish such as Estradiol. You could never charge enough to the end users to even pay for the raw ingredients. One thing is true if you give a male hormone (testosterone), to a heifer (female cow) you can see male characteristics in them; ie, thick neck, more masculine sholders ect. Also, female hormones given to steers can at times make them a bit queer acting. Good discussion and i'm sure someone out there has used hormones in fish enviroments to assist them with growth and Feed efficiency. Probbly some goverment studies out there wouldn't you say Greg?
