(64.200.163.164) This is kind of embarassing, but since we are all friends...

My dad was a bigtime fisherman. Salt, fresh, it didn't matter as long as he was fishing. He caught the first recorded tarpon in the surf in Virginia. It seems this gene skiped a generation because I was more into the boat ride than drowning worms. Now I have a 10 year old that wakes me up every Saturday and Sunday at sunrise to take him down to the pond to fish. Well the fact is that he knows more about it than I do. He has learned on his own that live worms catch bluegill and rubber worms catch bass.

It may be too basic to start a new topic called "Fishing", but I'd like to see some input from y'all on what works for you.

For those who have followed my pond building saga, the BG are now about 8" and the LMB are about 12". Both will be eating size by next spring. That's when I get interested in fishing. I'll be adding some catfish before long. For now, I just need some advice for my young'uns, and I know I've come to the right place.

Jersey, this is of particular interest to me because the ponds part is only a means to the end for me FISHING
I am attempting to maintain a FISHING thread by encouraging reports forum members.
Perhaps it would help if under a separate topic if enough members are interested.
