My pond (3 acres) has gone from being clear (nice green water) to muddy in stages over the last 2-3 years. The turbulence settles in sample containers in 2-3 days. It does not seem to be wind related as weeks of calm weather due not result in clearing. Five years ago I used Sonar to get rid of a heavy growth of coontail and Eurasian milfoil but not before trying 40 grass carp for a couple of years with little effect. I also stocked about 250 channel catfish which now are 6-9lbs. The grass carp come up for food and I estimate them at 15-25lbs each just by comparing with the CC's feeding alongside them. My pond has no vegetation at all now. I feel that the turbulence is due to the GC or the CC or both. Which would you target first for reduction in numbers. Which group is likely the most culpable?

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Thats alot of fish looking for food. 40*20=800 lbs of GC 250*6=1500 lbs of CC Time for a fishing derby.
