The contractor I'm using dug the rocks/boulders out of other parts of my property he had cleared for me. Wouldn't you know it the day he moved the rocks to the pond I couldn't be there. I would loved to have seen it. I was really pleased with the job he did. There was one rock that was so big that he had to roll it to an out of the way spot - way to big to try to get it into the pond. He estimated it at 40,000 pounds!!

The water should be about 6-9 inches below the under side of the dock at full pool. Just the right height to sit on the edge of the dock and get your feet wet. The dock builder used a laser level for the measurements. Nice to see the Amish use laser levels.
