I already posted this in another section but I thought I would add it here and be the 1st renovation post in this section.

It's been a little more than a month since I capped the drainpipe. Recent rains have helped the pond quite a bit. There's almost 4 feet of water at the deeper end and 1 foot at the shallow end.

Here's some pictures...

Looks great, & great idea for a new forum section!

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:"
"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

The contractor I'm using dug the rocks/boulders out of other parts of my property he had cleared for me. Wouldn't you know it the day he moved the rocks to the pond I couldn't be there. I would loved to have seen it. I was really pleased with the job he did. There was one rock that was so big that he had to roll it to an out of the way spot - way to big to try to get it into the pond. He estimated it at 40,000 pounds!!

The water should be about 6-9 inches below the under side of the dock at full pool. Just the right height to sit on the edge of the dock and get your feet wet. The dock builder used a laser level for the measurements. Nice to see the Amish use laser levels.
