OK, checked the weedy areas and they do have large numbers of panfish fry. Still see roughly equal numbers of LMB fry in the weeds, and only LMB fry where weeds are absent. If you cast a lure into the sandy areas at least 30-40 1-2" bass follow it back to shore. It amazes me that the LMB fry swim with relative impunity among the larger bass. I've never seen a large bass tear into them, although cannibalism must be going on. My impression is that the bass prefer feeding on pellets. Will seine the weedy areas this weekend to get an idea on numbers. Thanks for the advise.
