My pond is now 90% full and I was thinking of going ahead and stocking some hybrid stripers. There are no other fish in the pond. Is this a good time of year to be stocking them? If so, where can I find some and will they ship them to TN? The pond is about 1 acre so how many should I stock? Thanks

You will need some forage fish and or feeding. A little early but I would go ahead and contact Dr. Jeff Slipke ( the chief biologist and manager of SPMs Tennessee office) with Southeastern Pond Mgt. (and Pond Boss speaker , advertiser and contributor) as they offer HSB and have a Tenn office. Tell him PB sent you. Tennessee Office 2703 Bells Highway Jackson, TN 38305 phone: 731-664-6355 fax: 731-664-6033 http://www.sepond.com/index.htmlI would also suggest you read the HSB threads here.
