In the last couple years Dad & Mom have planted their fields in native prairie grass. Previously these fields were all rotated in corn & soybeans, and a few years before that cattle. All the ponds in these fields have had clean and clear water the last couple years, without the FA and problems of the past. Dad says it's because they prairie grass is naturally filtering the runoff, plus no fertilizer in the fields the last 2 years. Anyone else seen this with native prairie grass around a pond?
