Last fall I installed a siphon system in my pond.
It had been raining some and then there was 2" of snow last friday night. The 2" of snow melted and ran off saturday.
I would guess I caught 3 or 4 feet of cold water and discharged warmer water out the bottom.
I apologize for not having specific temps.
Questions: 1 Is this a negative, positive, or neutral for the siphon system.
2 Will it have effects on the fish? (bg, lmb, res)

video (2.78 MB) 2 days after snow.
(I put my name on the video so people can't link to it as though it is their own. It's a big wide web out there.)

Make it look easy,

Hey man. I went to your web site and watched a few of your videos. Very cool! My wife said you're as eat up with it as I am. Also I was heartened to see some of the maintenance on your machine. Makes me feel better about my 96J D5. Built in 1972. What size is that old dozer you're riding?

Kent, a rapid change in water temp can clobber the fish.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
