Not done yet, and really not close to done yet if you're still driving onto the ice. Both the pike and burbot are nicely colored!!
We just hit a cold spell ourselves. I don't think we'll go over 32F today. The walleyes were biting pretty good in area lakes, but this will shut it down for a little while, not to mention the new skim of ice.

I was wondering if many people here knew of burbots. We call them poor man's lobster, very fine table fair. Common to 5lbs and not unusual up to 10lbs. I used to bring them home, until one day my wife had a closer look at one and decided they were "cute". I still keep a few, but clean them at the lake and once they are home, the fillets are no cuter than pike or walleye.
