1. Pellet Fly... George's Pond Flies
http://www.pondboss.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=22;t=000047 2. $Gill, pond version of my Spinster fly.
http://www.danblanton.com/thespinster.html 3. Gurgler originated by Jack Gartside.
http://www.flyfishsaltwaters.com/flygurgler.htm The Gurgler, in my opinion, is the most versatile top water fly ever developed.
Popping bugs such as Little Prissy and H&H Bayou Bugs work well, and are readily available from Wally/World and Academy stores.
The Gurgler can be tied any color and size and from an ant to a T-Shad.
Note larger chartreuse Gurgler It caught numerous LMB last year I reconditioned with new legs and its ready to go for another top water season.
Simply stated, the Gurgler is an unweighted Wooly/Krystal Bugger with a foam back with up-turned lip.
This is my Pond fly Arsenal hope it helps all on the journey of fly tying and fishing, which has been my goal to encourage others to try a versatile and fun way to fish.
As I frequently say, fly-fishing is not necessarily in place of conventional gear, but in addition to.
