Checked Yahoo maps this morning and it looks like they have done some resolution updates. My land shows up fairly clear now. The imagery is old though, neither pond and some dozer work I've done are not showing. If you couldn't see your land in decent resolution before you might be able to now.

I wish they would update there pics. I started my land clearing and pond digging 2.5 years ago and still no new pics.I have looked at all the different programs but they are all old pics.
You can pay more but you cant buy better.

I've heard they all update every 5 years. The pics of my land are about 2 years old on all the aerial photography and satellite imagery sites, which unfortunately is right before I started all the pond and land work.

Your best source is your county appraisers web site or call them, no one has a clear shot of my place, but the county did and did they ever, they even sold me a custom made, color Arial 3 x 3 shot of my place for $35.00 over the phone.

My NRCS office has been very cooperative in printing off the color strip maps for me that they update each year. I suspect that they are the same photo source that Jim is using thru the county appraiser. They send me the 8.5 x 11" off of a color printer for nix. I hope to get one more this fall showing the pond full (assuming the new pond IS full). These aerial shots are the result of the NRCS inkjet copy scanned to my PC, so by the time they make it to the forum, they are kinda fuzzy. I'll bet that Jim's product is direct from the digital info and the clarity is great. I'm gonna look into the photo quality product this fall.
