I used to work at a few marinas. While working there I learned that you can buy boats pretty cheap because people fall behind on their slip rental fee and it eventually builds to to where the marina confiscates the boat. In my experience it is never a nice boat, usually a junky old sail boat. I was wondering if anyone ever took an old sail boat or something strange like that and made structure out of it? I bet it would be pretty cool to have a "sunken ship" in your pond.

I'd think it over. If rainfall gets sparse, you will have a drop in the water. That thing might not look so cool with scum and algae.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I sunk an old run-a-bout boat in my pond. It was great fun to sink as my son and I used 45`s to fill it with holes! The pond was only half full so it was safe. Be sure to leave the wheel on the boat because it seems the fish like to drive!
