Pond Boss Forums INTRO Questions & Observations Glad I didn't go to conference

My wife had to go to a wedding shower this afternoon, so I got to stay home and clean house since we are having company tomorrow. After I cleaned house I got to mow the grass. While doing all this I was thinking to myself how lucky I was that I wasn't at the Pond Boss Conference. I've seen the pictures and read the stories you have posted, but I've been to conferences before and I know what they are really like. You all are stuck in some stuffy convention center listening to some so called pondmeister telling you that they can grow huge bluegill and you can't. That they can control FA in their pond and you can't. You have to meet and greet all kinds of people and pretend to like their jokes. You stay up too late and eat and drink things you wouldn't at home. Plus they feed you cheesecake!

To show what a nice guy I am, I will take the place of one of you at the conference next year and you will have the pleasure to come to my house and do my chores. The first person to respond can trade places with me next year. The next person will have a chance to do it the year after, and so on. I'm in my late 50's so I will only be able to do this for about the next 25 conferences. I will be making a great sacrifice, but that's the kind of person I am.

fishraker, that's really thoughtful of you. I would take you up on that offer, but my wife forced me to go the the convention and will probably do so again in the future.

Theo, You are going to have to put on a conference on how you got your wife to do that. I'm sure you would have many attendees. You could call it the "How to get Your Wife to Force You To Do Things You Really Want To Do Anyway" conference. Have it a couple of months before the Pond Boss conference. You will sell out!
