just got another five inches of snow. there is already at least 4 inches of ice on my pond. I cant wait till spring to get the stand pipe up and let her fill up all the way. Im looking at stocking this spring hopefully it works out on my little pond which is just over 1/10 acre. gonna start another pond this spring about 1/4 acre 100ftX100ft. It should be fun.

come to nor cal. its been sunny and high 60's for a week. where is the rain?
mr. master, we had THE driest January in northern CA since records were kept (i believe going back to ~1850).
the big pacific high blocking everything is supposed to breakdown today, and we're supposed to get some jet stream action tomorrow through saturday.....we'll see. the pond has actually dropped nearly a foot since Christmas.
GSF are people too!

BC Master, Lets not pull the trigger too early on spring. We finally have ice for skating/fishing, maple season hasn't started but the taps go in this weekend. I'm still working on fish traps and the FA prickly rope skimmer is still in the job jar.

I'm in the wrong part of Texas. I don't think we'll hit 70 today. Yesteryday was only 68 and I think we'll be about the same today. Rumor has it that it will only get up to 50 tomorrow, so that might be a good day to stay indoors and hybernate.
