Well it was a rough 2 days but the sun was shinnig today. In the last 2 days i had my patio umbrella slam through my storm door and put a big ole dent in my metal door Price 700.00. Woke up this morning my neighbors dead tree had taken out 30 feet of my fence price 50.00. Pond almost full after the 3 inches of rain priceless. Here is a pic.

P.S. More storms on the way tomorrow night.

Wicked,

I'm surprised you didn't get more rain than that....it looked like the rain on the radar screen was really moving your way...I've checked around with several local friends and they all say they received 10 to 12 inches in this area.

11.5 inches and more expected today. The drought for us is over until maybe next summer, but at least next summer, we will start with full ponds and moisture in the watershed.

You sure have improved your place WIH. Looking great! Are you catching mostly direct rain, or do you have a lot of runoff collection too?

We ended up with an "event total" of 7" in Eunice. I got 3" Friday-Saturday, and 4" Sunday night. With my fair-sized catchment area, that 7" would have filled my pond from dead empty to full. Even though I'm presently collecting water only from the sky, my poor little trash pump is getting a brutal workout.

I get a good amount of runoff from my neighbors 5 acres after the rain had stopped the runoff sounded like a huge waterfall for a few hours afterwards. I know how you feel my pond was full after rita and we had to pump it out to finish digging it. We are starting to see some more rain today and were suppose to get 3-4 inches tonight if so i should have full pond tomorrow.
