Pond Boss Forums INTRO Questions & Observations Has there ever been articles on..........

Here on some things that I have not seen an article on. There may have been one, if so point me in the direction of it.

1. Tiger musky in ponds. I know they are big. How bif could they grow in a 12 acre pond? Could a 12 arce pond support 1 per acre?

2. Pond layout and structure to support a self sustianing baitfish population. I have noticed that minnows gather in very shallow water or get in very large schools in deeper water. Would it be benificial to have a large shallow grassy area for minnows in my pond? Also, the same goal for shiners, what stratagy though?

3. I think it would be really cool if subscribers could send in pictures of home grown lunkers to show them off. A whole page of member pics would be sweet. Like the have in "north American Fisherman".

I am not trying to offend anyone, I love the magazine and read it in the shower all the time but would love to see these things.

The March/April of 2006 issue had an article on Tiger Muskie, and I beleive there was one in an earlier mag?. There have been lots of discussion on minnows and shiners, if you do a search on the site. Cecil has a Web site that lets pond owners show of their largest catches, and he's begging for more pics.
