I have just had a pond excavated about three weeks ago and I am now noticing some weeds coming up along the sides. This area will be about 8 feet under the water when the pond is filled, so do I need to yank them out, or will they just die once there covered with water? I saw some dandilion and other common lawn weeds. Thanks!

If they are terrestrial plants "weeds" then they will die & decompose when covered with water for more than 3 - 4 wks or sooner.
