Having caught some really nice fish at Zephyr Pond, we were cleaning them and noticed they were full of corn. A while back I had dumped about a half a sack of deer corn in with the fish food. I think those CC really like the corn. Corn fed catfish, ummmm tasty.

Anyone out there add corn to there fish feed?

I keep a 5 gallon bucket of soured corn on my dock and throw out several scoops full every other day or so. Catfish love it.......Also, they are still catchable, unlike the commercial fish foods I have tried. Not a full blown "feeding program" but it seems to work pretty well for the CC. Not helping the Bream much I would think.

I like to keep cans of corn at my dock. I periodically throw one out because it makes the fish easy to catch on corn. You can get cans of corn by the case very cheap at Sams or Costco.

mix corn with my floating catfish food, at about a 1/10 ratio by volume. I think the bluegill eat it, but my main target with the corn is Tilapia (no catfish in the pond). I use whole kernel feed corn. As has been mentioned elsewhere in this forum, corn for wildlife consumption can have fairly high levels of aflatoxin, and who knows what the effects might be.
