I hear a strange sound outside. THUNDER !! Ross county rain I hope. There is some strange weather pattern in southern Ohio that makes the rain split away from Ross county. You don`t notice this unless you want rain. The fish are eating food again and thunder. Is it SPRING?

ejrfan: I saw "Frankfort, Ohio" but didn't know you were in Ross County (there's a Frankfort in Lucas County, too). The wife and I have tentative retirement plans to sell out here and and find some land between Adelphi and Tarlton, as we love the look and lay of that area. We have been through there several times on the way to State Parks in Southern Ahia. If Ross County never gets any rain, I will have to reconsider . If I'm going to build 3-4 ponds and have them sitting waiting for water, I might just as well move to Texas to be close to my friends there .

Theo, I'll let you know if, between now and your retirement, we get enough moisture to build dams.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I wonder if the drought is linked to the lack of sunspots. I have seen comparisons between rainfall totals and the 11 year sunspot cycle and the lowest activity usually corresponds to the least amount of rain. We are at 4 months now with the lowest sunspot activity in many years. This is a very informative website and a good one to keep in your weather folder. http://spaceweather.com/
Please no more rain for a month! :|
