I will keep anyone interested up to date on my attempt to seal my leak. Wednsday 2-22 the pond builder stopped by to apply the powder like bentonite to the area he feels it is leaking. He figured it to be about a 25ft square area. We spread out 250lbs in the surrounding area. The water in this spot is only 3-4ft deep and is the end of a small inlet creek arm feeding the pond. My leak is about 1/4" a day and that is with a feeder creek supplying about the same 1/4" a day. How can I post pictures of the pond? I Will update this every other day or so.

The leak appears to have been slowed a little. It has only been three days and most web sites say it may take 2-3 weeks to fully effective.

OK I put the hole 500lbs of clay in and the leak was at least slowed or stopped. The heavy rains came and the pond is flowing out the out pipe again. I ordered 250 more pounds to use now that it is full to be sure it isnt leaking higher on the bank.It took a good 2 weeks before I could tell if the leak was better. It is still to early to claim victory but I would say it was worth every penny to try.The clay I used was in the form of sand or sugar and I think this was best for broadcasting.

What kind of clay are you broadcasting?
Thanks Mike
