Pond Boss Forums INTRO Questions & Observations Hello! 1st post and I seek knowledge

Hello everyone......
(Warning: I'm a bit unusual:)

I have truly enjoyed reading through literally hundreds of threads on this forum in the last few weeks, I was thrilled to find a forum full of pond managers! Ive learned so much already and my thirst for knowledge is growing exponentially.

Now here's the unusual part..... I don't own a pond
I have been fascinated by fishing and pond management since I was a young boy (now 37), I even ordered the Zett's Hatchery catalog from the back of a Field & Stream Magazine when I was about 12 so I could spend endless hours planning (dreaming) about stocking my own pond someday. Fast forward about 25 years and here I am still planning, reading, learning, fishing. I'm so obsessed with it that I've even memorized the scientific names of all the species common to my area.... I know, I probably need professional counseling at this point:)

I do stand to inherit a little 1 acre pond with room to expand it to about 5 acres, but I hate to think about that too much (for obvious reasons).

Anyway, I have SOOOO many questions! I hope you'll humor a "future" pond owners quest for knowledge. I'll post my questions in seperate posts so they're easily searchable by topic and others can learn from your answers as well.

That should be refreshing; we seldom get "unusual" here. :rolleyes:

Welcome "Someday" man. If you've read past posts, you know there are several on here that share your passion and quest for knowledge. I'm going to guess that your questions will be stimulating and go well beyond the usual "number of fish per acre questions"..that's not to say that those questions aren't welcome as well. All questions are good, but some are better than others. Fire away.
