I am planning operating my 3/4hp sweetwater rotary vane compressor on a timer in the winter to prevent winterkill. I was told that I don't need to install a check valve at the end of the line because the compessor has a check valve on it. Is this the right info?

The compressor its self does not but one may have been added to the intake side of your air intake airfilter. The Sweetwater pumps usually have a "blue" 3/4 inch poly valve on them. If you are using the sweetwater airstones they can have this valve on the stone itself but have one above the water and if it is a Brady be sure the spring has been removed as the pump will have to work less. A pic on our site under "Economy System" and install pages.If you are using bladder type diffusers I would still have an external one. Good Luck
