OK, I'm getting suspicious. I've only seen a handful of pics of the "Georgia Giant". And, the same one's keep popping up if you search on the internet.

I want to see some more photos. Anybody else think there is something "fishy" going on here?

Maybe they are related to the elusive Georgia Snipe?

Georgia Snipe? Hell, I thought they were only native to Texas. Some must've escaped during my first hunt. Sure didn't get any in my sack.

I have to agree with you Jack, If I had gillies anywhere near the size of the photos I have seen of the giants, you would have to pry the camera from my cold dead hands because I would probably die from snaping so many photos of my trophy fish! By the way where can I get these snipe and who do I send the money to? I'll take 500.

All that has been asked for is facts. Greg G. has asked legit questions of which I don't think any have been answered & he's been chastized for asking them.

RIc, what is crazy is that I'm more pro GG than people think. They have a niche that most of my clients do not want but if they have a little 1/4 acre pond and want to drain it in a few years I like them. You are right though I take things on here too personal and will try to just shutup on the subject other than continue to ask questions. I hope she knows I truely interested and if answered with sound scinece like BC stated it wil only help Ken's cause but the elusiveness does no good on this board.

Deb (Georgia Giant Man) is working on getting us more photos and hopefully fresh ones. They are draining or will soon drain a pond on the hatchery site where they have some older GGs and she will be there with her camera and tape measure. I think many people will want GG's if they can grow them to 2+ pounds. If they can grow them to 3+ lbs many more with want them. I see them as having a niche especially in the aquaculture fish market. Ohio (Ohio State Univ affiliate) is currently growing GG, regular hybrid bgill, & pure bgill in recirculating indoor tanks for a growth rate study. I have contacted the project manager for some more details.

I am going to try and get some from the northern supplier next spring and raise them in a cage in Ohio where I can get about as good of growth rate as compared to when they "free range" in a pond. I'll get some northern data on GGs.

I've read enough of your posts to know that the ratings don't mean squat to you...nor to me. You speak straight without hidden agendas and without fear of ratings. I admire and respect that, for what's that worth to you.

I'm glad you're on the Forum and glad to know you...and I always believe, if we disagree, its not ever personal.

Now what ever happened to that guy who was going to run those leak tests and tell us the results?

You know I read that post with interest...but wasn't sure if it was your sick sense of humor again or not.

As I stated earlier I do have GG in one of my ponds. I have sat back on the sidelines on these recent forums and observed. What boggles my mind is the lack of photos. I will have photos to post here next spring of my GG. If they are impressive as said to be I just cannot understand why you would not have recent photos? Mine are outgrowing my natives by large proportions to this point. But mind you so do standard HB that I have in another pond. To date my GG have grown (since spring) 2X the rate of my natives minimum. What I have been waiting for is photos from you or your customers that back up the ideas that the growth does not slow as they age. Yearly photos would be extremely helpful. I am hoping for the best with my GG but am now second guessing the decision on the purchase do to the lack of customer or fishery evidence to support your claims.

Please if possible visit one of your ponds with a camera or do a feild check on one of your customers ponds with proof of age. As you stated earlier your business includes pond maintenance. I personnaly like to see fish conditions as part of a management plan photos or live. Records are made along with the photos and age.

My hope is to have a good healthy and large fish population for years to come. I chose the GG for this particular pond to test the waters with them. With no GS as a degenerative drawback it would seem to many as a great route to explore for those that wish to have a trophy fishery for panfish. Here in the north there are just as many panfish ponds as bass ponds. Your bream sales would explode if you had factual information to pass on to others.

I am not writing to bash your company or you in any way. I just need information preferably photos to set it straight for me. I would love to see these fish progress as you have stated in your past post. If they do I will have new photos down the road for you to show off. Until them I would like to show people that this is what I have in this pond and here is documentation and photos of what to expect.

Thanks for the time you have spent thus far answering what you can here over the past several weeks. PLEASE find a way to get some recent photos so we can all say that you are right. Until them.....

You are right on...a little story, that I hope does not offend Ken in any way...

When I called the number for Ken's Fish Farm to invite them to participate in the Forum, Ken answered the phone. I explained the Forum to him as an internet discussion group and he had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. He said to me, "I'm just a fish guy and don't know anything about the internet" or words to that effect. Thus Deb enters the picture.

I wouldn't hold that lack of internet knowledge or interest against him...heck, one the smartest men I have ever known, responsible in large measure for the first Moon landing, refused to ever use or learn anything about the pc, let alone the internet. No, I wouldn't use that in judgement of anyone.

After the Georgia meeting, I suspect that most of you will forget about GG pics in favor of pics of Deb. I understand that the use of the word "stunning" to describe her applies only as an understatement.

Aaron I have been a bit concerned for you! I have pulled truck deliveries from over the past year, and can find nothing under the name of the company you gave me. I even looked under the gentleman's name in our computer inventory, and still nothing. My worry is that you might have been sold a standard hybrid, or even a Fx GG (not F-1). I have called this company a few times, but never get an answer. I'll keep on that until we get to the bottom of it. I want to make sure you were sold the correct fish both for your benefit and also so that we are not misrepresented.
If you get a moment to go to the lengthy post I wrote last night "About Me", you will see that we have not had to really document much since the first decade or so that the fish was developed. The GG's sold themselves through customer word of mouth, and Ken moved on to other projects. I am however working on updates for everyone.
