Thanks to Bob, Mike and Sherman. Also thanks to Cecil Baird for directing me to this site. I see that I have a lot of researching to do before I ask any questions. I live in northeast Ohio and have a 4 1/2 acre pond. Average depth is about 18 feet, up to 24 in some spots. LM Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, Catfish, and one walleye. The pond was built around 1971. The LMB have been shrinking in size over the years. I have a lot to learn so I guess I better start reading. Thanks Again! Looking forward to the Pond Boss Mag! :p

I don't know anything about Ohio ,I live in south Louisiana. I have three ponds only four years old & the LMB seem the be shrinking in size.My ponds are 17-20 feet deep . Yours being that old & deep you should have some "HAWGS" in there.I have all kinds of fish,my biggest problem is that we catch & release so much I think the fish are too smart now, but I'm starting to thin them out. I have alot to learn also. Try using "live" native to the pond bait,I've been catching some nice ones doing that lately.Seems like they just don't want artificial as well as they used to. GOOD LUCK !!

Theo, I've known Cecil for sometime from a different site, which unfortunately doesn't have you Register or log in. This is the type of site that I have been looking for, for sometime. As I sit here feeling overwhelmed and confused by reading some of the information, I'm sure it will pay off in the long run! I have to go back to the search engines and figure out why this site never came up when I searched. Bill I also forgot to thank the Academy for welcoming me to this site! :p
