Sorry if this sounds dumb, but I got to know. My pond is basicaly all clay. The sticky blue/gray kind. I was wondering if I add crawfish for forage, can they burrow holes in this and cause problems, such as leaking? The pod is a dugout, not a dam. Thanks.

I have them in my pond they migrated from the drainage ditches into my dugout pond and don't seem to bother it.

I stocked 500 Red Swamp crawfish that I purchased through Zetts of PA. I had read that they would help control algae and would of course be great for a mudbug feast. Unfortunatly the LMB, and I am sure other preditors, found them quite good as well. I have zero now.

For the short time I had them, they did borrow into the mud. I do not think they would be able to cause that much damage.

Please let me know how you make out.
