OK guys need everyones help, I am doing a speech about talipia, and can only find one website that has useful info. What I am looking for is, the different species/sizes/most common/how they reproduce/how they are farm raised etc. Maby different types in different parts of the world parts of the world, I believe they are from africa. Also the temp they die at like below 60 or something. IF anyone knows how good of feed conversion they are for bass, and if they are easy for bass to prey on. Stuff like that and still other things.
Thanks for help, JB

I once saw something about tilapia being a great bass forage source on either a Texas Parks and Wildlife or texas A & M website. Sorry i can't be more helpful.

Why are you looking for a website? Why not type in Tilapia in a word search like Google and find hundreds of entrees?
As far as the conversion rate for bass eating talapia I would not think it would be any different than any other forage fish. About 10 lbs. would need to be eaten for every pound of gain.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Try this link. And, expect ten pounds of tilapia to produce a pound of bass. http://aquanic.org/publicat/usda_rac/efs/srac/283fs.pdf
