I have a acre pond in Michigan that the ice is just now starting to let go. All around the edge where I have open water there is a lot of debris and filamentatous algae. I cleaned around the edges last fall and removed all the floating leaves and stuff that I could. The question is can I clean it our around the edges now without disturbing any future spawning activity? To do it right I will have to remove the floating debris and rake the bottom to remove the dead vegetation that the algae is clinging to.
Its not how well you do something, Its how well you look doing it!
