Reference the recent post on raising fish in a cage...has anyone had any success with raising hybrid striped bass in a cage? I would like to add some to my 3 acre pond but fear the fingerlings would just be table fare for the LMB. Hence, would like to get them to about a pound or so before release. Details on the cage and on feeding would be appreciated. Thanks.

I made my cages from a plastic nettng I purchased from Memphis Net and Twine.I used 1" black water line bent in hoop for the top and bottom frames and used a noodle from the pool to keep it afloat. A great web site to check out for any type of aquaculture is Aquanic.org.

wipers do great in cages. as well as anything i have tried. jb
Take great care of it, or let someone else have it.
