Read about being able to successfully trap forage, fatheads and bluegills, out of forage ponds to transfer into main pond. Noted that if fish are eating from feeders they could easily be trapped. Someone please send info covering size, material, and method of use!

Easiest way to catch shiners/fatheads or other small fish/minnows is to use a minnow trap such as they sell at almost any fishing or big chain store like Wal-Mart.(Metal or plastic- two piece cylindrical trap) Bait it up with bread and toss it in...

I've found that baiting a trap with dry dog food also works well for minnows and baby catfish.I also do better with the black trap.

For larger numbers of forage collection, there are some B shaped or clover leaf traps that are several times larger, and more expensive than the walmart kind. You can also get some for small bluegill as well. cost is about $170 and can be shipped. [email protected]Robert B
