#1- what are the average size bgills/acre that should be stocked in a lake that is roughly about 4acres. and i have two other lakes the same that are 1 1/2acre... (the bass are stunted at 10-15' in all ponds, and will be culled through the winter yr) but i'm thinkin of stocking forage fish in the spring. bgills and minnow's. i was thinking (3-5' bgils)
#2 - what is the avg size/acre on minnow's.?.. and which minnow's do the best in texas heat?
any input would help.. thanks guys!!

If you place small bluegills into a bass heavy pond, you did nothing but provide a one time expensive snack to the bass. You must put in big blue gills.
Fathead minnows work well, as do golden shiners, but once again, until you remove some bass, you are doing nothing but feeding.
Your one necessary step is to remove bass. But you already know that.

You are thinking right remove some bass then stock at least a 4-6 inch bluegil if you can buy them (60 lbs/1,000 size) Save your money and do not put fathead minnows in a pond with established bass.
